Hi, I’m Lyle Lillian. Born in Essex but raised in the charming county of Kent, my early life was a tapestry of change, growth, and resilience. At the age of six, I moved to Margate, where I attended Drapers Mill Primary School and began forging the foundations of my personality and passions. My secondary school years brought their own challenges.
I studied at Holy Cross RC School in Broadstairs, but when it closed during my final year, I was expected to transition to The Ramsgate School. Feeling out of place, I decided to chart my own path instead, learning some of life’s most valuable lessons outside the classroom.
For over a decade, I thrived in the fast-paced world of sales. It was a career that suited my skills—I enjoyed connecting with people, solving problems, and pushing myself to succeed.
However, as the years went by, I realized I was craving something deeper, something more creatively fulfilling. Writing had always been a dream tucked away in the back of my mind, a quiet passion I never gave myself permission to fully pursue—until now.
Writing isn’t just a creative outlet for me; it’s a lifeline. Like many, I’ve faced struggles, including battles with depression and anxiety. Those experiences, while difficult, have shaped me and fuelled my creativity. Writing gives me a way to process life’s ups and downs and, more importantly, to find joy in storytelling. It’s my way of connecting not only with myself but also with others.
My hope is simple: I want people to enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. Whether it’s through the stories I tell or the emotions I convey, my goal is to make an impact—big or small—on anyone who reads my words.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I’m excited to share my journey and my writing with you, and I hope my stories inspire, entertain, or simply bring a smile to your day.
